Getting some cash back from the government and I'm putting together a new workstation for at home. Going with the Intel i920 with the Asus P6T and some 1600 Tri-Channel ram. Wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with some of the new drives out there.
They all kinda boast that they're the best and depending which review you read it's pretty close one way or the other. I mostly deal with 3ds max, photoshop and zbrush for working and I run a pair of monitors so more often then not I have 1 or more of those programs running. I have other drives for storage and such but want a lighting quick OS setup.
Opinions, suggestions?

I know it's from a programmers perspective but you should keep it in mind.
you can work without lags and mving around files on the HD is fast too.
If I would build up my system now i would get one of theese intel SDD's combined with a common HDD.
a velociraptor is good but its not a wonder child. I also put my money into 8 gigs of ram which was more woth then using a superfast HDD in my opinion.
