I'm running all of my game art apps off a 30GB partition on my Macbook Pro and would like to get Unreal Editor installed. However UT3 takes up a whopping 9GB, and I need to trim this down so I'm not constantly shuttling my project files onto temporary storage everytime I work on a new one, since my working files + reference image collection tend to get very large in the middle of production.
The last I tried, deleting pretty much any non-engine file causes the editor and the game not to start. Anyone know a way around this?

9GB is pretty huge on my measly 30GB partition.
Check ifixit.com for instructions with pictures.
and remove the EditPackages listings, and only delete those packages from the game itself.
You'll need to keep anything with Editor or Engine in the package title.
