I was hoping for a reboot (which maybe this still might be) That might even be pg-13 to rated R to reflect the Turtles real background.
"Galen Walker" produced TMNT. Which, failed to impress most. Why would Laird still want to work with him?
Well, I can see why Laird STILL hasn't continued his TMNT comic for the past two years. Which left Mirage Comics to put out just Tales of the TMNT. I still want to know if Mikey had kids with that Alien Princess, Donatello will ever get blown up again, and Ralph will demutate from a snapping turtle.
I concur, the CG one was actually surprisingly good. It just had a stupid story and some bad voice acting. I loved the visual style of it though.
^ This. I am surprised they are going back to live action; dunno if filmmakers today can capture the charm of the live action movies...but I suppose they probably had to show tests of how they would do it to get green-lit, so maybe they have something cool up their sleeves.
Hey, as long as it's real people in 80lb rubber suits, and Vanilla Ice raps about them, I'll be happy.
I could care less about the Vanilla Ice part (though I still loved it in II), but I seriously think they should use those suits again, or slightly upgraded ones.
Watching the movies now, they still hold up so well.

Agreed. If they make them edgier, that would totally rock.
I doubt we'll see it go above a PG13 though, and even PG13 may be pushing it. You have to bring in that next generation of consumers, and you can't do that with an R rated film.
I too wish that they would have tried a sequel to the CG version. I didn't think it was all that bad either.
The thing about Laird is I think he was more the action/adventure part of the duo while Eastman was the darker themes/violence. After all, Eastman did buy up the Heavy Metal Magazine and sold his portion of the IP to Laird.
So in other words. I don't think we will get to see the darker nature of the whole "ninja" idea behind the Turtles. Eastman isn't there anymore.
Maybe it will be live action actors, with CG, realistic turtles?
Jox, that was a good story, however, that was Rick Veitch's story and I think it was not part of the Turtles established universe. I wish it was though.
Fuck Shredder. I want the Turtles in Space.. Utroms and Fugitoid. The little brain dudes in the robot suits (Krang was based off these, but Krang was evil, while these in fact were a good species).
That way we get to see.. TRICERATONS!
Where the hell is 3dGuy? He should be all over this thread.
OxyNary., I own the above story as a graphic novel.
I always enjoyed the original 80s cartoon version of the Turtles more than the other versions. It was more lighthearted, and everything tied together a bit more nicely I thought. The comics were a bit more all over the place character wise and story wise.
was a big fan of the archie comics, used to grab that stuff whenever i could afford it.
the series was a nice diversion too. ahh, brings back memories.

Am I the only one that really liked the CG TMNT movie?

I want this made into a movie:
ARBBH
* my bad bout the hyper link
They really don't belong in the TMNT universe.
My personal favorites from the old comics, was that leech that latched onto Raphael and sucked out his mutagen.
Very disappointed the next movie will be live action, and not fully CG
