[MILES] polycounter lvl 17
I just had to try posting with it on polycount. This little sucker is turning out to be great for casual, on-the-go or on-the-couch browsing. Overview display seems to work best here, but Column display definately makes reading pages like kotaku or drudgereport a breeze. I thought browsing would be awful...but is pretty darn good. Now I'd like to see voice recognition to replace touch-typing, and flash/java support. Skype would really flesh out the entire DSi package. For those who have one, check it out if you haven't yet.

I've still got a first generation DS, not even a DS Lite and haven't really looked into the DSi. I had no idea that it had internet browsing which is a better marketing tag line then the stupid "omfg its got a camera!!!" that they are concentrating on. =P

    No GBA slot though.

I was checking them out, but it seems hard to justify paying $169 to lose the GBA and gain the camera(s) and the memory slot. Also don't get why they are charging $30 more than the regular DS lite, rather than just ending the DS lite. I guess I just wish they had upgraded to get closer to the PSP's processing and graphics.

Overall though, it looks like a cool device. My daughters both have one, but I've been considering getting one for me (and maybe my wife).

I thought the big thing was downloadable games, granted, psp is already doing this, it just seemed like a good idea.
