I am sketching out a device for pouring boiling oil from the ramparts of a castle, but can't for the life of me think what it's called, I'm just looking for the name of it so I can find some reference images for it, anyone know what i'm talking about?

In Japan they are called Rock Chutes or ishi-otoshi

In medieval castle terms the are called Machicolations.

Looks like its just a hole, whatever you throw down thats up to you. It doesn't look like oil boiling stations where specifically created above these holes. Oil was probably boiled some place and carried to the opening?
