Dont know what to call this

I am sketching out a device for pouring boiling oil from the ramparts of a castle, but can't for the life of me think what it's called, I'm just looking for the name of it so I can find some reference images for it, anyone know what i'm talking about?

they called the areas with the perforations "murder holes" where you'd throw or pour stuff all over the siege dudes. im sure it was just called a hinged cauldron or something like that. the different names would be the holes they used.

Not sure if it helps any, but the overhanging parts of the raparts that had holes - through which they dropped oil, stones, cuss words, etc - were called machicolations.

Looks like its just a hole, whatever you throw down thats up to you. It doesn't look like oil boiling stations where specifically created above these holes. Oil was probably boiled some place and carried to the opening?[/SIZE][/FONT]

Awesome machicolations that just flows off the tongue , I originally had sketched a huge trough-like cauldron on hinges in between the battlements/ramparts, totally my own design and probably not practical irl so just wanted to see what had been made in history, the murder hole idea is quite a good idea i'm gonna try that out on the model too.
