For my first post I'm loading 2 projects i did for class.
They're supposed to be speed models, but I'm still kind of slow.
Each of these was probably 5-7 hours from beginning to end.
Feedback would be nice (though I probably won't edit these models due to other work i need to get done, I'd still like to know what I could have done better.)
the chair is 1110 tris
the utility box is 568 tris
currently they each utilize single 1024x1024 diffuse, normal, and spec maps.
Welcome to the forums At a really quick glance i would suggest that the proportions of the chair are quite off. The seat section is really big in comparison to the back and head rest. If someone sat in the seat and they filled it then the head rest would most likely be in the middle of their back. The other thing i saw was that your texture resolution isn't so consistent over the whole piece. Might be a good idea to post some texture flats so we can check out your uv's etc.
Dont worry about the speed thing. Its better you do it properly at this stage than to worry about how long it took you to do them.
Not bad. The chair could use some work like frubes said. The utility box turned out pretty legit though. I was actually going to use that concept but decided not to at the last second. lol.
Anyways turned out good. Looking forward to seeing the project 1 finished. Keep up the good work.
First of all, I'm clearly a little slow as my roommate pointed out that it's a barbers chair, not a dentist's chair. XD
That being said, it has an oversized seat. And i think it matches the reference, but if it looks wrong it looks wrong, i'll work on it. As far as the texture goes, the textlile density is even across the board as is the texture resolution, but I'll post the reference and uvs for feedback as soon as I can
