WIP - lowpoly - xcom like structures

My brother and I are trying to make game that is a mix of Subspace + Elite + Sentinel Worlds 1(i miss this game) + Xcom

We are using Ogre3D as the engine.

He programs and I do crappy models.

Here is a screen of the current(temp) models loaded into Ogre3D.. it is using a simple textfile as the map.. notepad!

We are looking for someone that might just be bored enough to help out with textures etc.

I am also including all of the models / materials / textures so if you wanted to texture them for fun then so be it.

    Wow, thats a very ambitious project! I am an xcom uber-fanboy so Ill definately be following this. IMO the perspective in your test (yes I realize how perliminary this is) looks a bit odd - in the xcom series the scenes were all orthographic. If you can replicate the ortho perspective it might make the scenes a liittle easier to navigate, but thats just a personal opinion. I wish I had the time / skillz to help out with this project tho - thats a great list of games your pulling from - cant wait to see some progress!
