Ultimate this Saturday!

Anyone interested in playing Ultimate Frisbee this Saturday here in Austin? A group of us from Vigil and Bioware have been playing Tuesdays and Thursdays but we are trying to get a Saturday game started and could use more players. We play at 9am at Brentwood Park

Think of it like frisbee handball. I know a couple people playing on the womens national team actually.

Yeah sort of like Soccer/football but with a frisbee and no tackles. Loads of fun!

Yeah basically when you attack, one guy of your team needs to be in the marking zone, and has to catch a pass sent to him inside that zone to score. (IIRC)
What happens before and after that is pure nonsense fun :P

we used to play some every week here, was pretty fun. fell through through when winter came. fun stuff.

Pfft.. If you're like every other Ultimate team out there you say 'ALL WELCOME!' to get your numbers then complain when the girls & fatties don't perform.

Wish I was around in Austin for this. We've been playing inside this winter on a indoor soccer field with curved walls at the ends. You can play off the wall, there's been some spectacular plays throwing the frisbee along the wall and having it wrap around the corner to make the pass. Now the suns out and snow is gone it's time for some outdoor, oh yeah!

I've been with the BioWare/Vigil frisbee group since last week. It's a lot of fun! The first day I almost died cause I didn't realize how much running was involved. Its definitely helped my workout playing every Tuesday and Thursday.

I should be there this weekend
