Having some issues with Maya, Please Help!!!
Hi guys, I've come across three different problems with my Maya software, just curious with any one can help:
1 - For certain reason I can't open a .ma file by clicking on the icon, in fact it's not even a standard .ma icon, instead it's one of those white icons you get when a file is not reconigised by a software. However I can open it by going into Maya first and open it from there.
2 - I cannot save obj files. I have no problem opening it but the option of saving it as an obj file is not available. I've checked the plugins in the plugin manager and they are switched on.
3 - I cannot uninstall Maya. I've tried various methods whether as an Administrator or the normal way but both don't seem to work. What seems to happen is that the status bar would tell you the uninstalling process is at around 90% and then all the sudden the bar would going backwards. After that a message would pop up saying the install sheld was interrupted during the process and it has been aborted while Maya has not been modify and you can try to reset it another time.
If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

2. File -> Export not File -> Save
3. A little googling seems to say that this means your install is corrupted. Manually delete the directory then re-install seems to be what most recommend.
Use revo uninstaller if u decided to manually uninstall it. It will clear some registry files as well.
