+1 for the black and green, hope there's room. So this is the concept Ive decided on, will start modeling pretty soon.




So i guess I should try and sell him a bit.....ahem. BEHOLD! Mighty Belezar and his faithful steed Burney! Woe to those who meet them upon the battlefield. Armed with his sacred Fire Katana, Belezar rains fire and death to all who oppose him. Burney can run with the lightning speed of twenty baby cheetahs and create a wall of fire behind him. Yes, Demon prince of Old Belezar and Burney! What a pair they make! Who dares stand against them. The tales of their deeds are legend. Like the battle of Lotus Blossom. Where with mine eyes I did see Belezar defeat an army of 10,000 with nothing but a 32 pound salmon. Mighty Belezar ...and Burney! Here from the Oro dimension on a mighty quest. Hero to thousands, scourge to billions!

c023dev: ty, yup I was actually listening to "The Last Samurai" soundtrack when I doodled this.

Killaball: haha, ty I hope you like how its going, looking forward to get into zbrush soon.

Sectaurs: truer words were never spoken. Although hes eating vegetables with the hamburgers, lettuce and tomatoes for example, I guess I'll hafta settle for that.

Valandar: not sure what or who Rurouni Kenshin is. I just thought "Oro" was a word that could fit. I guess I should research that a bit more.

Em.: get out of my head! haha yes! I was totally thinking about that horse when I was sketching. That cartoon was epic.

really like the stylization- the extendo neck need some looking at however :P

that shoulder pad is pretty rockin, and the fatness/ and or bowing under the weight of the demon is pretty funny-

Just a thought: As this piece has a strong samurai feel, and he's a horseman. Have you thought about giving him a bow. Samurai Horsemen were usually skilled archers as well, as far as I'm aware anyway. I might be wrong. Or maybe give him a standard to bare.The model doesn't need any extras though so you might not want the extra work.

Awesome! Are you planning on having steam coming from his nostrils? Also I think some orange-y bits within the red flame lines would make it look more glow-y. It may be the angle and it also may be too late but I expected the horse's ass to be a bit more inflated.

Anyway, lookin' awesome, keep it up!

Em.: Thx man. I tried what you said about the orange bits and ended up liking it better, I also gave Burney some more, "junk in the trunk" and will try and find a pic to show that soon.

So its Belezar and Burney in the land of Marmoset, which i'm really digging btw. Although I'm not sure how to view 2 sided polys. Hafta finish the diffuse and fix some seams. Gave Belezar a new Shoulderpad and although I like the older one, this one seems to fit a more samurai style.

Now that is sexy. I think you could push the metal-ness of the armor more and punch up the depth of the raised designs on it. I thought the metal would be darker and grittier too. I love the new flame design and the horse is totally perfect. Fly, fat ass, fly! XD

Great proportions on both the rider and the steed, they make a funny pair I like the rework you did to the shoulder armor, it's much better now than the horizontal lines. Congratulations on completing this piece
