The Polycount TF2 server lives again!

Hey gang!

I finally got some time (read: off my lazy ass...) and got the Polycount TF2 server updated and ready to run!

I am still trying to reconfigure everything and get it set up properly, so if there is anything you want added, removed, updated....etc. Let me know. Also, if you have a map you are/were working on you need tested, please let me know and I will be glad to try and get it in rotation.

I love me some 2Fort. Something about the big huge maps (PayLoad and Cap) with 1-2min of travel time drives me nuts. Run run... snipe, reset. Run run, backstab, reset. Run run, you get the idea.

For some quick fast paced action 2fort is great.

I love going down into the water as a demo, lobbing up a bunch of sticky bombs on a sniper dominated battlement and watch the imbalance disappear.

But the single choke point that everyone must pass through, is pretty annoying.

no, because it's a boring stalemate 99% of the time unless you actually have teams that want to play as ...a team.

agreed. and if you're a sniper, you spend the whole round playing tag with the other sniper.

I agree. 2fort is my favorite map in the game; I have several 24/7 2fort servers in my favorites and only play on those. The intensity of the gameplay on 2fort is unmatched.

Mach4 FTW! Love that map. Only part I don't like is the bottom entrance, way to cramp down there. Although I'm split on TF2, I vote for Mach4 to replace at least.

Would love to see Psy-Uk's Arena Lighthouse map up there. Been itching to play it with others.

Just a side note, please try to check the first post in the thread and get all the 3rd party maps we use before hitting the server so you don't have to stress the server downloading them, not to mention you will get into the game faster.

I will try to keep the first post updated with any maps I add.

And the server is currently empty. :P
