DWIV - 3D - Manganiac
Hi Polycount, haven't been active enough (I just don't feel I can keep up to you people, such a noob), but I gotta try doing something like this at one point...
Anywyas, I've allways been such a sucker for mechas (giant super robots), I get that anything so generic is hardly takken serious by professionals but since everybody allways wants to stay away from it, perhappes this'd be a chance for me to show I can do something.
anyways, going with
War Machine
at first I tried really hard to come up with a sketch but I just couldn't bring to 2d that picture I had in mind, so I tryed to skip straight to 3d to check if I'd get better luck, didn't work at all, I felt like modelling without a goal... (3rd image = paintover)
FAIL
came back to 2d and try to figure out a design, picture how the whole thing is gonna look like entirely, had better luck this time I guess...
so anyways, I'll be tryng to follow you people's steps, will try to stay within the concept of a Super Robot
I'd wait a little bit more before start posting, but since the rules require a wip thread, I better post something before I advance too much (altho I know myself enough to know there's a good chance I won't finish this before the expiration date)

in the sketches 7 definitely stands out as godlike and fuckin awesome !
and 6 looks like it could be integrated in to be the back side of 7.
