Not bad so far. Do you have access to a sculpting program like mudbox or zbrush? I know that if I am having trouble with certain shapes, a bit of sculpting usually helps a lot. You could do a quick concept sculpt, then import the mid level back into 3ds max, then just build the low poly around that. It would be like tracing at that point, and if you have polyboost its really easy. Good luck man.
