DWIV - 3D - LeoSluzz

Hello, world, er, Polycount!

I wanna join the fun with this comp.

I know it's a bit late, but still :)

A Demon Lord, you guessed it, and trying to make it as serious and pathos-filled as possible :D

Holding the place here, will post some of the doodles I did over the last few days, once scanned.

Fleshing out the chosen idea, trying to get hold of the proportions.

The catch here is that the demon is hollow and contains a singularity aka black hole inside, so he (being extremely heavy) also has some rocks orbiting around it, which he can throw into an opponent by manipulating them with his black energy :)

    Need to start working asap!

    Hi All :)
    New Drawing:
As you can see this is a better proportions, better anatomy demon. Check him Out!!
Also played a bit with colors to see what works better. Waiting fore some critic ;)

I like the center sketch the best so far, with the two floating rocks around him. The shape of the face works nice there. Would be cool to elaborate and really push the idea of an empty stomach cavity if that's what you're going for. Keep it up!

From the front the head seems a bit small. I'd play with the shape some more.

    Hey thanks guys!

Ok, i really need to start pumping on this one.

Meanwhile here's a base mesh that i did for sculpting.

Still not sure these are the proportions that i'm looking for, will be glad to hear any feedback!

I really love your sketches, the one in the middle with the boulders is epic! Though, in your turnaround and base mesh the thighs seem a tad wimpy, like they may not be able to support his bulky chest. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this, keep it up! :D

Ashleigh, thank you buddy, you're definitely right, let's see if I can get it right this time around :)

i dont think your leg proportions translated well from your concept. they seemed longer and more prominant in the sketches. also his torso seems a bit more elongated in the sketches, i bring this up because the sketches are very nice and i think i like their proportions better. easy fix in Z tho.

    Hwy woogity!

Been struggling with that and seems that you've got this just right!

Here's what i got this far playing with proportions (and pretty happy about it):

    And a side view:

    2109.jpg

I think it translates the concept much better now, thank you woogity :)

Also keep in mind legs will be armored, so that will add some volume too.

Now need to add some asymmetry - i am thinking of giving him a hand made up of stones and also stone incursions in several places on the body (like, rocks fell on him from all sorts of directions, gravitated by the black hole inside him)

This and designing the leg armor will be the next steps, before adding fine detail to the sculpt (can't wait :D)

Thank you guys and keep your input coming, it's been really helpful!
