Hi, my name is Matt, critiques are welcome. This is my first forum thing so lemme know if im screwing every thing up.
My first thoughts were that if this war took place the Norms, humans especially, would be really just barely holding on. Maybe a few city states here and there then that got me thinking about the over looked smaller pockets of humanity like indigineous ethic groups of africa then i thought of an african medicine man/ witch doctor who would have some magical abilities in that universe. Im thinking allong the lines of an Invoker who can summon ancestoral spirtes in the form of animals coolest being hyenas. The summoning would be able to become physical.

i had a strange idea, what if when he put on the mask, living matter was drawn to him like armor, so animals/plants would merge with him in different ways, you could have like hides and bones and branches make armor for him. forming different armor every time he put on a mask? it would be a little gruesome, but might make for some interesting shapes and would steer from the typical "witch doctor" type thing? maybe? i dunno just a thought
are you going more human when he's transformed? or more entity type where you can't really tell what the hell he is? cuz the later i think is the direction you should head in
I dig the idea of him having a few masks dangling around his waste, so may be diffrent masks do diffrent things thats good stuff.
I was thinking that it would almost be like calling upon gaia... a captain planet type thing i guess... that doesnt make it sound cool but anyway the flora and fauna would become physical after being summoned from spectral...? this could also give me an excuse to use some heavy duty glow maps.
but yes it would be a human infused with all things natural organic and maybe even basic life supporting elements? earth? rock?....love? lolz

im really liking the african witchdoctor idea especially the part about incorporating different masks . in the ref of the headdress that face painted pattern might be neat to expand on , maybe covering his entire body or the spirit hyena could have similar painted patterns that form its ethereal shape.
here are some basic ideas for the witch doctor, i might just be using female accessories cuz they are simply interesting.

thinking i need to redesin the skull mask to look more like the pets mask. and thinking about making the masks out of bronze? wood? amber? something brownish?
would have liked to be out of the design stage but this quarter is a biatch and i really want to add this guy to my reel now...
anyway any pointers or thoughts on this guy is appreciated, late
