got an intuos 4

I Bought an intuos 4 medium sized. It's going to take a little getting used to, but I really like the wheel, the detachable usb cord, and the led displays on the buttons.

Using the wheel to change brush size is useful.

I think the "precision mode" is interesting. It will take me a while to work all these cool features into my workflow.


Anybody else get one? Have thoughts?

Is the pen much different from the Intuos3? Lighter? Slimmer?

(only slightly) bigger, bulkier, didn't notice a weight difference (and don't own it yet, just played around at GDC)

Bigger than the Intuos3!? Christ. I was hoping it'd be lighter and smaller. We're on a slippery path...

I like the large intuos 3 pen. I find I have more control with a larger grip. At least it's got padding. My first model Intuos2 was just hard plastic.

Is the wheel much better than the Bamboo scrollwheel? I really think the Bamboo wheels are vastly inferior to Intuos 3 touchstrips....

I think the pen is larger and lighter. But yeah nothing like the greatness of the intuos classic pen huh.
