I'm in! I started sketching last night and here's what I came up with.
Sharkman! v
which lead to Antlerguy! v
these lead me to the concept I'll be polishing up and working from, King Demon Hunter!
Threw around a few ideas and decided upon a Norm Stalker. A king of much land on one of the norm planets, he has decided to use his strengths in tracking and assassination to help in the fight. I'm also playing around with a few ideas, like having a perch built into his shoulder guard for his partner, a pet vulture and maybe a big beard instead of the scarf. Not sure. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Do you think he could use a cowboy hat, bowler, or sombrero?

mattblack - Thanks!
dolemite - Thanks for the suggestion. I really like what a hat does to the silhouette and its balance.
Cojax - Yeah, it's been a while now. And as I remember it, I was the one getting destroyed. Never could get the rocketjump down. How's WI? Are you on the Wolfenstein team?
kosh_fotsirk - Thanks. Never been one to get much out of thumbs.
BC3D - As do I. Maybe one of us will actual finish this year :{)
woogity - Thanks. That's the one that I'll be going with.
rooster - Appreciate it. Your work has been an inspiration over the years so I'm glad you like
r4ptur3 - Your NomNom monster's coming along well. Keep it up.
A quick and dirty color slap. Not final at all.
Also, HATS! Threw a few hat sketches on as per Dolemite's suggestion. Tell me which one you like.
Strong silhouette, keep going..! :poly136:

If you go with the sombrero, maybe a poncho and a bottle of tequila sitting in his gun holster?
Just getting shapes down and such. As for the hats, it seems like people are enjoying the floaty crown and the sombrero. Hopefully I'll be able to smash something together, possibly a Crownbrero, though I do like the idea of a hat on the back. We shall see.
As for the hats, I wanna say A because I think it works better as a "Demon Prince" thing...But D is my favourite.
And I like the hats A and D.
Got a little more done --->
Gonna try and finish the arms and upper body tonight.
Looking at this again next to the concept, I think I modeled the head too big and too high. Maybe even the whole upper body is too big. Dangit. I'll have to fix that. Also modeled one of his CQC weapons:
Which do you guys like? The longer blade or the shorter?
Turn!
Thanks for motivating me to keepa goin. More to come!!!!
almost wish he had a bottle of something.
More to come!

Small crit and i'm not sure theres alot you can do with it. i think the pistol holster is, although correct size to hold the pistol, it just too big. And it seems the positioning of it would mean that he would nearly have to put his hand into his armpit to draw the pistol, and with the length of his forearms i actually think he might not even be able to draw it without dislocating his shoulder...Not good in a quick draw!. I'm probably thinking about functionality too much. Alternatives would either mean just losing the holster or making it a simple loop of leather to hang the gun in. Or thinking up another way to carry it. Maybe like Tuco (good, bad, ugly) hanging on string. Anyway. as i say. Just a minor glitch which may not bother you. Either way it looking great so far.
They do indeed. Quick and dirty but it gets the point across :{)
Your weapon model and animation are brilliant.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. They've kept me goin. Speaking of which, I have been doing things! Unwrapping and unwrapping and then unwrapping some more. You get so used to having that extra monitor at work that when you uv at home, its slows you down so much. Anyhow, here's a screengrab with a quick and dirty AO (now with whiskey bottle for r4ptur3 :{) ):
Where my madness has been:
Now onto colors! If anyone has any suggestions or wants to do a paintover, it'd be greatly appreciated. Expect more soon!
