Ok well it’s late and I need to post some progress finally. So here we go!

The character type I am going for is DEMONLORD. His internal power is that of death itself. He is a walking plague spreading rot and decay across the land itself. His main weapon will be some sort of Halberd with tortured souls carved into the blade and staff.


Cheerful fellow as you can see.



I will be posting more images soon since this model has become a handy template to draw on top of. So now I can mess around with figuring out his details before wasting more time in 3d YEAH!

Hey, good job! In some views he's not very elegant or i don't know. It just feels alittle "off" in some spots. But the base and idea are great.

Well felt like trying something new in showing the base wire model. Came out kinda cool.
The base mesh body is done. Now to concept some armour and detail ideas :poly130:

I looked at it again and i think the upper part looks odd proportion wise. It looks very human and when i envision a human based on the proportions of the torso i feel scale is completely lost. I would say make the "torso" smaller or change it's shape to make it less human. Keep it up, you've done a good job on the model already!

haha this is great i have a deep seeded fear of giant centaur crustacians, this fella creeps me right out, the surface study in your paintover is awesome i like the colors alot too people seem to forget most crustacians are only red after they are steemed the blues/yellows are great.

So I did not fall off the planet. I've just been doing work related traveling. BUT I will be working my fingers to the BONE to catch up. Here is an update of trying out the surface study on the model itself. Looks like it might actualy work.

Did a quick noodle of the side / back area to get some more ideas. Its quick and messy but I think it will work I bet your all wondering what the little gribbly details between the disks are through the entire design. Thats the pores from which the plague gas vents from constantly as he walks accross the battlefield.

Cool looking sculpt man, I am really diggin the plated thing your doing all over it. The tail in your little "noodle" of the back is definitely a lot more interesting then the straight tail. Keep it up.

Here is another update from my side. Did the base meshes for his teeth now and some general sculpting all over the model. I will be blocking out all the details from the previous draw overs. I want everything on the model at a basic detail level before I make the jump to my next Sub-division level. Don’t want to get ahead of myself and get lost in detailing specific parts yet.

Here it is with a happy smile for everyone! Included a quick noodle again on how the front surface detailing will most likely turn out like.
