Hi all, I am wondering if anyone knows of a scrip/plugin or way (for max 2008 64bit) that would automaticly create a tris or poly between the closest 3 or 4 (respectively) verts. For instance it would allow me to create a "base" vertices to start out with then click somewhere in world space (or on a mesh!) and that would create a line. Then create another vert and it would connect the 3 verts by automaticly creating the tri/poly.
My though it that by using autogrid this would make it easir to create tight proxy/coll meshes for more organic models (in my instance asteroids.)
There is probably already a method in max that I'm not aware of.

There should be even some close caps or close hole functionality similar to the silo`s fill hole functionality which can speed up face creation as well.
Ofcourse, it's a bit expensive to buy just for that, heh.
