definitely love how the mixed media was delivered in this movie. The story was pretty deep and I believe this was an attachment to some other movie (i think mindgame) that just basically had some similar characters.
We saw Tekkonkinkreet at the film festival a few years, and I loved it. Someone at work bought the art books (one B&W, one colour) and they are gorgeous.
That movie is amazing. If you like it, there's a segment in one of the most recent Batman DVD movies that's done by the same guys. Very cool style. (the movie that was a bunch of random shorts about Batman done by different companies. . . can't remember the name)
ETA: Of course . . . if I'd actually bothered to READ the thread, I would know that someone's already mentioned this. . . Now I feel useless and lonely.

I far prefer mindgame to tekkonkinkreet as it has a more nicer meaningful (to me) story.

yeah i ran into the same thing, I really thought this was a fantastic movie but when I showed it to people who were anime fans they hated it.
