    Ok so, I started playing with Alchemy, some ideas so far...

    I decided to make a machine based on my number 18. thumb. It's a little different though and I'm still working on the idea.

    Idea is a mech spider queen, 8 legs, 2 huge gat. guns and visible moving/believable working gear parts to power the legs.
    The hind of the spider mech will be part engine with visible cylinder heads / part armoury (gun rack :poly142:) as my unit is a support mech for other machines.

    Still deciding on Cyborg or Full machine, flesh is weak :shifty:, and I could sculpt mechanical details... will decide on that soon after more sketching :poly136:

    3D Mock up is old, too formless, weak looking, changing it. Was more for understanding how the thing would move (see animation at bottom.)

    very intriguing addi, hope you'll extend some of the intricate detail onto the main figure- balance the distribution of noodly detail
    all that gears and stuff has got to eat into that poly budget tho eh?

    Further additions (guns, engine, cogs etc.) to be added in 3d (read: Fun Part). :)

    The design is coming along pretty well so far. Maybe consider turning the human form a little more insectlike as well. I'd like to see more variation in the shape of the form. Right now the side view looks pretty interesting but the front is just kind of this upside down T.

    Try going for some more organic shapes like in the initial 3D model. Otherwise I like this idea a lot. ^_^
