The « Kerberos » scout unit is used to gather informations during raids on difficult grounds.
Whenever radars are out of range or incapable of locating enemy troops for any reasons,
they start running towards unexplored areas like packs of hounds,
eager to find usefull information for their master.
Kerberos have inner sensors which capture every vivid signal arround them,
as well as powerfull transmission gear which is permanently connected to their home base.
Though it is fited with light equipment and has little autonomy, Kerberos type machinery manages to
escape from tricky situations thanks to its increased agility and strongly ingrained survival instincts.
Because Kerberos units appear suddenly on the battlefield, and always forewarn an imminent massive assault,
they has gained the nickame of « Fear hounds ». When needed this machine can slice a path towards the enemy's
rear line thanks to its vibrating light blades. Rather aggressive, a « Kerberos » often gets involved in fights
and may sometimes forget the research mission it was entrusted with. That is the reason why they are usually
sent out of their home base in groups of 5 to 10, in order to ensure the mission's success.
