Hey guys. this year i thought i might give DW a go. i was thinking of whether to go with a Demon lord or War machine. In the end I decided to go with War Machine. I havent thought about the shape or anything like that yet. but iv drawn some concept sketches for some parts.

Some nice mechanical details going on I like the leg in particular in the first sketch.

Its fun that you're looking at each mechanical piece as a whole, but when it comes to the actual character it is important to first have the body with a good silhouette working. Once his basic shape looks really good, then you can go to town with the mechanical pieces :P

Thanx Mezz. i tried that silhouette thing but I failed miserably. im considering changing what to make to being a cyborg demon princess. Like a demon princess that was captured by the machines and made into one of them. Im pretty sure that's ok with the rules as it would fall under the class of cyborg and the character wouldnt posses any of the demon powers.
I made a quick sketch of the princess before being turned into a machine. the symmetry is whack lol but you get the idea. and ill just draw over the pic and add machine nick nacks here and there.

Alright, the idea is cool, but I would approach it a bit different than: "add nick nacks ".

Try to think what the machines woudl do if they capture demons. Would they enhance and enslave them? Would they suck out their powers? Would they be turned into empty husks the be used as cannon fodder. Have the machines found a way to feed on the demonic powers?

If you take this approach you can think about how the machines would influence their victims.

Would there be a contraption on the heart area that sucks out powers?

Would there be tubes and stuff going into the main arteries the preserve the bodies?

Right, with that said, the demon princess concept is okay, but a little bit generic, maybe explore some more interesting takes? Look around on polycount, plenty of inspiration to look at

So, all in all, not a bad start! But maybe some more thought would benefit the concept.

Thanx for the comments pestibug. it gave me alot to think about and i decided that the machines would suck the demonic powers from her and convert it into an energy blast of sorts while making the being a soldier built for speed. Side and Back views of concept on the way
