Saw this over on RPS... I'm not sure I get it. References to Black Mesa and HL2 sound effects, but that's all that seems to suggest it's in the HL universe.

Fairly nicely done although I felt the first person view stuff could have been done better in places, especially when falling over or looking around.

If you paid attention, you'd notice the character audio track is missing. Thus, they likely substituted HL2 audio in

Ah, I assumed it was supposed to be the character who you see through whose sounds were missing (breathing, yelps of pain, out-loud swearing, etc...).

that was awesome. That opening scene when he looks out the window instantly reminded me of the hl2 citadel, but then the combine sounds come in and it felt a little sloppy in that department, but I'm assuming its a work in progress.

The one thing that throws me is how its POV but the camera moves forward smoothly. I know a lot of people got motion sickness from watching a movie like Cloverfield where the camera is supposed to be handheld, but this feels like the person is SLOWLY pushing himself around on a very stable scooter. There's not a feeling of this person running like hell to escape, I felt like "CMON MAN RUN FASTER DAMMIT THEY'RE GONNA GET YOUUUU!"

Nice! This was shot in the Netherlands, I can tell by the license plates and some of the shop windows. Probably some student project?
