DWIV - 3D - threeDspider

Latest:

WEEKEND WOO! (bit late but w/e :)) Still experimenting with Alchemy, exploring the different tools and shape brushes, coming up with some really interesting silhouettes and ideas. Really glad I read so many posts here telling people about their 'Alchemy' sketches

If I haven't decided on one of these (or my next batch, coming soonish) but by the end of the weekend, I'm throwing a D3 (dice, you non D&D people) and picking a race using it, so I can at least narrow down my concept a bit.

Some of these are refined a bit, some are still v. rough, so please list which (if any) that you like. Here's the latest batch:

1st post:

Here's the first batch of silhouettes, i've never used this method of concepting a design before, so any tips or tricks would be appreciated.

Also, I just found this little nifty program called alchemy (all the cool kids use it apparently) so expect some more interesting and wacked out designs soon™

/edit And yes, that is a demon butterfly with wolverine claws. Just cauz.

Ok yeah i'm liking (♥ing) alchemy a lot, speed shapes is just stupidly fun. Quick q does anyone know how to pan across in alchemy? Or is the bounds of the window all you get? Ill have another set of silhouettes up soon, this time from alchemy.

Lots of people are using alchemy for sihouettes here, check out some of the other threads. I'm not sure if you can pan across, but if you make the window bigger you can draw there too. It doesn't have those types of controls on purpose I think.
