I keep forgetting to post this finished piece up here. I did this a month ago or so. I have been wanting to pimp it for a while. The wireframe shot is 5000 polygons on the dot including the interior, fence, barrel, glow cards, and exterior. The textures are all hand painted. The lighting is done with vertex lighting only. Anyways here it is:

- its a little weird seeing two different types of wall materials. Wood with supports on the inside like a barn. But brick outside?
- The deformed walls are a bit funky to see on a brick structure, wood I can see sagging, expanding and shrinking with age, but brick isn't really going to change its shape over time unless it degrades and crumbles or is worn down.
- I think if you switched the outside brick with a wood texture it could all come together a bit more.
- Switching to wood outside would also be easier to explain the odd rough rounded shape of the window. Getting round rough holes in brick can be a bit tricky, from a craftsman standpoint.
I agree with Vig's comments, and I'd also add that the scene seems to lack contrast a bit. I'm not sure if it's the lighting or the smoothing groups or what have ya, but it all feels very soft and mushy, like a plush toy.
I agree, it does almost look like a house you'd see in WoW, although the lighting is a little strong and the colors are a little too saturated for that style...which is not a bad thing by any means :P
