the green thing is going to be like a big sack where things go after the mouths, and the sticks will be like big forks. i'd like some suggestions or criticisms before i start painting him properly... i was thinking like longer arms with the forks built in or something? his feet might be spikes cause he only ever walks on bodies or something else. totally uncommitted so far.
interesting idea, but he looks a little imbalanced. He looks a bit back heavy right now, especially with a lot of food in his "belly" Have you considered giving him another set of legs, maybe centaur like, to get away from the humanoid look? I do like the shoulder mouths though.
Pretty hard to see actually... but it's like more shell-style shapes and then three needle feet per leg. And they're coming out of jaws from under the shells.
Also I think there would be arms like the previous version coming from the sides in between the two upper jaws. What do you guys think?
Cool stuff woods. Looking at your concepts, I actually think your early versions were a little stronger. The toad-heads (are they toad heads..?) match the stomach-sack better than the stone heads, and while your new stone heads look great, that look (faceted head with gratuitous underbite) seems to be all the rage these days. I think your model would distinguish itself more from other entries and have a better gestalt with the toad heads or the like.
The overall concept is great-- keep playing around with the boils, flesh sacs etc. Weird crap like this:
Actually, and this goes for everybody, there's a great blog that just has pictures of mostly hideous animals interspersed with a few hilarious ones. Check it yo:
coldkodiak: Yeah, still not committed. I'm reconsidering the legs and stuff. wake: I agree. I've been thinking there's too much of a mix between organic and hard shapes. I might just make him completely "seashell" style (except the human part). Also, the heads do need some more thought. I was kicking myself for drawing evangelion heads the whole time
Ok, the old concept wasn't working anymore. I think he was too overwrought. So I went for something still inspired by hunger which uses teeth and mouths:
Ravenous Invoker
Norm invoker who has manifested the hunger of people who die of starvation into an insatiable cube of maws.

could be cool. I think it need some more exploring in the draft, but the concept could definitely work.
