I'm most likely making her rather plain by body form, just slightly twisted anatomy and then concentrating the weird factor on her mount. Her legs will be strong as her attacking consists mainly of her kicking down on foes with the sharp and large claws of her feet while she only uses her hands to operate things or lift herself / hold victim in place long enough for claws.

She'll have the regulars. Slightly spiky skin, some scales, dried up parts. Maybe a bit of armor, thinking of magma + obisidian. We'll see.

The idea of twisted anatomy sounds promising and I think you could really push along those lines with number 3. If you'd just tilt the head forward and make her posture all hunched up and really twist the spine. It would also make sense if she uses her arms to grab victims to be positioned lower. The hair spikes flow much better with the design on the third too.

The first two thumbs aren't as strong I think. The upright posture come out as too cheerful. The thigh area tho I think is better on the second one than the third. If her legs are strong, the thighs should be pretty muscled?

It's a good start, keep doing more and go crazy with the design. I'm interested in seeing what you are going to do with the steed.

Sorry for the large image, and only one 'thumb'. Have to reboot comp to install new GPU and don't have any idea how to save Alchemy for later... :D

edit: Head is a mess and neck is hard to read from the blob

Uhm.. Feet. I mean her portfolio is kicking people to death. What would be better than raptor claws? None! ...have to optimize though, but for basemesh they go like that. Smooths perfectly <3 These are at 450tri, hah.. ... :D

edit.: Go perfectly for basemesh because Mudbox can now handle 30ish million tri with all the goodies with no lag. Happy I updated my comp just before domwar <3

I'm gonna reccommend you don't jump into modelling yet.. well, unless you're sure.

reason being, I think you're missing a step. normally you take your silhouette, and develop it into a full detailed or semi-detailed concept- are you sure you've got enough to go on to begin?

push those concepts some more like rooster says

The further you go with them the crazier your concept will get and the more awesome it will look in the end

    keep it up!

Sorry for no posts and nothing... and then suddenly alot and COMPLETELY different stuff. I wanted to get DomWar as school project, then I could have peacefully spent 2 months making it and so on without haven't to concentrate on anything else and to do it. I had to present it to high princibal at my school.

In other words, I had to have something to show, something that's far enough to show I'm determined. So I hurried and built concept and quickly built model from there on... and when I presented it to the high princibal, he said it's a good idea, but it would be unfair to others if I were allowed to do something else :(

So. Here's where I am now. Sculpting DESERT for school animation project, lol... And building DomWar char along the way. Nothing too special I'm afraid, didn't have time :P

The current concept plan is semi-colonial looking 'rifle elf'. She'll have crossbow like artifact gun, and she fires a small beast that pretty much eats anything it can find. The artifact gun summons copy of it everytime its fired.

    Tha... da..

Look at my avatar, isn't it cool? Its either daemonic polycounter or feline polycounter. Depending on your mood :)

edit: Her fighting style pretty much consists of her standing a far, firing the gun 10-20 times. Then sitting back and waiting till the beasts get bored and wander back to her. Then she fires them to other target :) The beasts are uncontrollable, and freakishly violent and ignorant things. They can't see friend from foe when fired and when they land. When they get bored however, they can't be arsed with anyone. The beast is also 'one person', so he's pretty messed up in the head when there's 20 of him running around and munching.
