I wanted to do an alien of some kind, so I'll be going with ebony skin color with green energy for the magics. The character will have layers of clothing and sigils and wards worked into the clothing in its skin. The arcane energy will manifest into patterns and sigils as well.
Base Body: (sans costuming)
Some very rough costumes:
and a few heads:
Next looking up some military gear and some survival stuff. Next up will be costume roughs. I already have a story started and I think I know what kind of imagery I want for the final. Will be sweet.
Take a look and lemme know what's what.
Fhoop!
Here's a scribble of the sythe:
and and another of the character.
Next? the story... then some color comps.
The story is coming around... going to involve how the character got the sythe and lost an arm, and sustained injury to the head. The sythe makes restored the character's body but it was using elemetal magics so its going to look like the repairs are made from a combination of elements, as well as elements from the sythe itself.
I think I may loose the cowl so I can show off some of the mystical hooha playing around the character. I already have a final idea for it and its going to be sweet.
Here's a ridiculous story about the character. I'll post some more stuff soon. Been slow with work and such.
Arashem the Shaper
Arashem the Shaper was simply Arashem when he became an Arcane defender of the green god, defending the city of Erliech from the ravages of the war. In the middle of the first war with the machines he had received a vision. The vison led him from the city to the elemental lords. They offered Arashem to learn their magics from the primal forces of the elemental lords
While he learned the ways of higher elemental magics, the lesser elemetals had heard rumblings of strange beings afoot, and the gates of demons had opened once again. Arashem completed his training and returned to Erliech to see it under siege by demons! He learned from his order that they had been betrayed by one of their own and the great symbol of their office, the will of the green god, had been stolen.
Only the greatest of the Arcane order cocld wield the Will and not go completely mad, since it was said to be home of a fraction the green gods essence. Arashem, armed with his new power, searched for the betrayer. He found him on the plains of Nezz and pitted his arcane might against the usurper. After the eldritch battle was over, Arashem had won, but at a great price. His body had been partially destroyed by the battle, and before he blacked out from the pain, his blood washed across the side of the will and the green god spoke to him through the weapon.
He was the chosen.
He was destined to stand against the demons, and the Will of the green god would go with him. The will repaired Arashems body with the elemental magics, transforming him into a being of the elements as well as flesh. The process bonded Arashem with the Will and the elements, augmenting his power and skill 10 fold. He had become Arashem the Shaper.
Arashem returned to Erleich to fight once again, but he would not be alone he had the will of the green god
Nothing can stop him.
Here's a color test of the head. Using the logo colors for the skin and energy.
and a raw front view, I need to clean it up tho
Arashem carries most of his magical implements in his pouches and carries the word of the green god at his side (book will have logo on it). The pouches and some of the lesser weapons he carries are found on his way back to Erlich. The bandages are field wraps from the battle with teh betrayer. The ripped cape, hanging metal runes and kilt type cloth are remains of his original Arcane uniform.
trying to decide what kind of patterning I shoud go with on the cloth... maybe something to do with the rune stuff.
I have another version of Arashem without the hood. Next side and back and a detailed sketch of the Will of the green god (the sythe).
More to come...
