You know when it comes down to it, the final decision has to be yours, cuz you gotta pick a concept that you wont get bored of working on for the next 8 weeks!
u got something against legs? haha pretty cool stuff so far. if u could make the leg structure on F work i would love that one but kamui is right ur the one dealing with it for 8 weeks.
awwwww don I've been waiting over at GA to see some of yer stuff, and it's over here, lol. anywho I think the 1st one is kool. guess I'll be making a lil more frequent trips here now. cheers bud
too early to really comment.
I agree with dumping the alchemy crap. Everything looks like a metal bush.
I suggest exploring meaty shapes and how to sculpt and concept tortured skin.

I'm not sure why there's so much hate on alchemy, I guess it's because all of a sudden everyone is using it. I remember, years ago, when ZBrush was becoming popular there were pockets of people who refused to use it as if it was cheating. I dunno, I don't see the point to this purist mentality...I think it gives decent, QUICK results and makes the process that much more natural. I know personally, concepting is a weak area of mine that would normally cause frustration...but alchemy works really well into an "ad hoc" kind of workflow. Rough out a quick basic shape in a thumb, build up a base off of that and start to go crazy in ZB...nearly instant visual feedback if it's going to work in 3d.

Eh I don't want this to turn into a love/hate alchemy thread. I just think he should get into furthering the concept.

DON! looks good but you already knew that LOL, Don please head over to GA and give my 3d entry a crit. and Gav you are right about that alchemy hate. I am a painter and I just started using yesterday. Its radical.
had to come over here to see it with my own eyes... the treachery! I personally have a hard time even seeing the thumbs due to the gradients on the white background. C and H both have some interesting shoulders happening.

impress me as always Don
I wanna see you out-do your Wolverine.
Best of luck.
Here's my first round of thumbs
a. Pretty generic cyborg with a rabbit theme (I think there's a anime out there like this or something?)
b. Classic invoker garbed in cloth robe with tech bits sprinkled, Main source of awesomeness is from the glowy cod piece.
c. Bone armour demon with huge Japanese inspired plate shoulders.
d. umm yeah...it's kinda bug like I guess...
e. demon prince that draws his inborn fusion power from live sacrifices.
f. Big nasty tank fucker, ThatDon style :P
g. master and slave, little dude rides on top, sorta like a war elephant.
h. The big bad mofo for the demons, comparable to the source in the matrix.
Thoughts and recommendations greatly appreciated.
H is kickin'!

How come no photoshop concepts?
also, can someone explain what SDK stands for?
It stands for "Software Development Kit" or "Skin Development Kit"
basically it's a simple basemesh that has uvs.

zZZzz time then it's zbrush highpoly goodness in the morning.
and yes this is highly inspired by the epic art style, not too original but I'm ok with that as long as I do it justice.
not too sure about weapon(s) yet, guns are a option or a massive blade or some other kind of brute type weapon.
