It's like a demoncreature thing sitting ontop of this mass with lots of little legs scuttling it about.
Following eleven, i would say ten cus i love your proportions.
had a go at doing specific ideas, most were crap but the one that stood out to me was
hes got maybe an eye at the center of the tentacles inside of a mouth, kinda like the placing of an octopus' beak. maybe the tentacles have mouths too. and hes got a fidler crab thing going on with the one arm there
jackablade those little artifacts were just that, i did notice the effect when drawing though. it could be an interesting look for the final thing like spores or bugs or maybe some shine effect
toyed with the idea of giving him a creature that lives on/in it like thumb 11, but thought that didnt quite fit the bodytype. then thought of giving him some sort of parasites that are bursting out of his skin but as I was watching some planet earth, there was a bit about deep sea creatures, specifically eels. why not have some tentacle/eel/wormthings going bonkers on it, probably not only coming out of its skin but also burrowing back in, and out and so on. maybe they would be consuming it slowly or symbiotic in nature, but I want to make it disgusting
- not liking the head at all, looks like mini elephant trunks lol
- might give it a traditional head with teeth or something, will start experimenting
-it also doesnt feel cohesive yet but not worried too much atm
I'm surprised you had no replies yet on your sculpt. This is awesomely gruesome! It's just odd, though, that he's standing straight when his right side is heavier, but I assume you'll address this at one point.
I have one suggestion about the tentacles on the back. Maybe you could widen the tentacles near the base where they come out of the creatures back? I think this might unify the creature / tentacles, and make them feel less tacked on.
AKAperly - Im still not sure what I want the tentacle/eel thingies to be like, I was toying with the idea that they are a little plant like and actually will root down into the flesh, but I also like the idea that they are free roaming creatures, so could possibly do the tail end of one, which has burrowed all the way through. I also dont know whether to give him humanish teeth or sharp pointy teeth to differentiate from the head.
Either way making em wider at the base is definitely noted, I have yet to detail the areas to make it look like they are really bursting/ripping through the skin(except that one bit whcih probably needs to be reworked now).
Zwebbie - thanks, I plan to pose him once the sculpting is done. He will most likely be hunched over, possibly with the big arm gorilla style with the knuckles on the ground.
Ive called him Gnharg, thinking that could be the sound he makes, the sounds the tentacle creature make or the sound of his victims. Maybe all three
Redoing the feet, probably gonna have to retoppo & split it apart since everything is going bonkers down south with the toes.
Saw this over at shacknews, gonna have to use those antennae/feeler things for my guy/s!
Loving it. Good idea with the antennae. I think the main head should have something like the top pic whereas the smaller ones should have the simpler ones on the bottom pic.
2 crits: I think you can play with the flow of the quads on top of his legs. Also his feet from profile look a little simple but im not sure if you got there yet or not. Just nitpicking .

The material is gw_hardstyle, you can get it in the zbrush download center, under earthtones(funnily enough). Its the second one in the list.
Quickly redid the teeth, tentacles have been sorta redone for a while. The high poly is at 40+million polygons, really painful saving/loading/making big changes. Cant really show all parts at the same time now, otherwise it will just freeze up
Doing the low poly has been a pain in the ass(god I wish I did a symmetrical model ) its about 7k tris, and I still havent done em for the tentacles yet. Havent had a chance to incorporate the sea worm ideas either, doubt I will at this point, need to get texturing asap.
Trying to think of how to have the tentacles share the uv space, in a simple way.
hmm just retop one tentacle, uvwrap it and duplicate it however many times, id go with the biggest one, then just bake the one? you could scale them all and rig them all seperately after the bake. <<easiest way i can think of
lookin ace btw on the main dudes face/mouth. also i think the asymmetry will pay off for you in the end. it will be very interesting.
Yeah for some reason I thought everything had to be connected, silly me. Anyway I have been procrastinating, havent done much which is unfortunate as I thought before that I wouldnt have time to finish but looking back, I probably could have. I still plan on finishing, just now will be a little late.
Anyway I experimented a bit with making it symmetrical(ease the texturing side of things)
And giving greentooth a place
Here is the latest, tentacles were quickly thrown & posed in but its about 10k polys, I think I need to give the tentacles more uv space and their teeth arent in yet either.
Ive sortof taken out a bunch of the asymmetrical stuff. I thought it might look better to have the growth stuff only where there are tentacles(rather than everywhere sort of for the hell of it). Could use some thoughts on that.
The low poly has come out really nicely, i do have one crit though i think the fingers could do with being a bit more fleshed out maybe protrude the bones out along the top.
