Just reserving my spot. Didn't choose the race yet. The only think I know is that I'll go for a stylised / more cartoony character this year. GOGO POLYCOUNT !
Nice, I kinda like number 7, cause he's chillin' there, in between all the scarier and bigger ones :P Same with the one beside #4... which doesn't seem to get its own number.
And what is this Alchemy everyone is going on about? It looks pretty sweet, but I've never heard of it before today... is there somewhere I can get a hold of it?
'Nother vote for 2 here aswell Renaud. I'm looking forward to seeing how this one fleshes out and how it works out if you decide to go with a more stylised approach to the modelling.
Just to show I'm still alive. I edited the first post with a few additionnal thumbs. I'll slow down this week (some freelance work) and re attack next week ! Still not sure where I am going, though
I like 10 but wonder if it would look alot better if the pilot was situated lower down inside the cockpit also the glass bubble enclosure doesnt look like it will work.
Hi all,
after a couple of weeks of hesitation, no ideas, etc. I came out with the idea of a little demon who is too shy to show himself/fight because of his enormous Hornes (he should even get some sort of "crutches/stands" for his hornes ). He's not as strong as the other demons, so he decided to build up an exoskeleton from another fat demon. I removed the head and a part of the chest to create a trone/cockpit made of bones 'n skull and will control the big guy using his own tendons and some chains. The big guy is still in the design process.
This time he won't miss the party !
Brain from "Pinky and the Brain)" was also an inspiration for this little guy.
Anyways, we'll see how far I can go with this idea
Very cool Renaud, I like the little story behind the idea just as much as I like the sculpt :poly121:. Only thing that kinda bothers me is that hard vertical edge in the pec muscles, it almost makes them look more like shoulder blades. Keep it up, I cant wait to see the rest of the model.
thx for your comments ! I'll definitly refine the anatomy and find some stronger/cleaner forms here and there I decided to go directly in 3D to speed up a little the process, but yeah, sometimes I'm going to much with the freestyle

i'll keep my eyes here for sure!
