Working on the Temple of the Sun from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade for the competition over at game-artist.net with a friend.
We're getting into it a bit late, but hopefully we'll be able to pull it off..

There are a number of problems at the moment, but any crits / comments are appreciated.

Yeah. They used Petra for the exterior of the temple. In the movie the temple houses the holy grail.
The column capital lacks all sorts of cool details, but I'll be leaving it as is for the moment. If I get a bit of time near the end I'll go back to it and update it.
C&C welcome.
then again if you are going to have one or two peices broken on the floor then that woul dbe fine
Shep: Thanks for the suggestion, we'll keep that in mind.
Some messings around in unreal:
We still have heaps to add and fix up. . .heres hoping we make the deadline!
Crits & Comments welcome!
Seems like in the bottom picture though, either your your textures are tiling weird, or your normals have a nasty seam when tiling (the bottom slate, just above the columns), its nit picking, but its just a bit too noticeable to pass.
Good luck, really excited to see the end product.
That problem is due to bad vertex lighting, if you look around you'll notice it in a few other places, but it will be fixed soon.
We had to pull an all-nighter to get this thing done in time, so a lot of things were rushed (Ohai huge seam in terrain) and there are a few things we aren't happy with, but overall we're quite pleased with what we've done.
We're going to be spending a little extra time fixing some of the things we dislike, so if you have any crits / comments we'd like to hear them.
Once were finished with the scene Ill create a new thread with the final images & statistics.
nice nice nice
Edit: Me fails...
