here is my first try on this kitty, guess im gonna do some different concepts, but ill probably move on to the kitty model quite fast as im better at coming up with ideas when i can block out stuff.

here is some changes on the leg version, took the legs up a bit and made the distance smaller, think it looks less wrong like that

yeah hes looking good but I would exaggerate those forms so that he looks less natural and placid and more freakin beastly

I'm not sure the new midsection is really working. He looks a bit... floppy. Front end is looking pretty schmick though.

Vidar: yeah it would be weird to let them be like that, still it would be nice to keep some organic parts, what to do.

Ged: sounds interesting to do,, don't really want to make him look too beefy though, as the scout is suposed to look small and fast, but i think ill play with it a little when i get home from work.

Jackablade: you mean before i made his legs robotic? or just the last change? the way his body is cut in half isnt really adjusted i just kinda rubbed it out and placed the legs there, gonna make it look more slick in mesh i guess.

yeah it sure does :P kinda just blobed that out to make it look fatter,, going more for the general idea kinda look rather than a finished concept ^^; just want my brain to start thinking, well think im gonna make a tiger basemesh and start doing some mockups, thanks for the pic eric, that will surely help later.

Hellz yea! Montecore 2.0. Look out Siegfried and Roy. I'd like to see more of a transition from the middle to the front. Maybe like a robotic rib cage or something. Bah I'm just throwing out ideas so feel free to disregard this.

rory: that first part was kinda non understandable to me :P haha. as for the the transition in the middle, "as for my weird way of doing things on the concept stage, i dont really want or have the skill to do all details in the concept, when i made the transition i made a line and erazed the other half :P but i do have some ideas for the transition that i think will look cool, dont think ill paint it out though. rib cage sound like a cool idea though .

TheWinterLord: glad to hear that . well as i have written before this is far from how it will look, im thinking more silouete, sizes and basic ideas right now, i hope to have slick transition later , think i need to get into 3d to see how it looks..

Kawe: hehe what are u talking about :P, hover legs are win, think of all those poor disabled snow tigers out there wanting to join the bionic scout unit.

If I were you, I'd play with the length of the legs a bit; the front legs look rather short to me and you might end up with some interesting shapes. Long legs do always make stuff look faster. Maybe add an extra pair where the exhaust things are now? I just think that it's a bit too much like your ordinary house cat to be really interesting. The details are there, but the overall shape is familiar.

By the way, that pod on the back looks almost like a shark's fin, which would also be interesting .

You've got a pretty cool idea going on here I like the mechanical aspects put toghether with brute beast! Only thing I've got to say bout it is that I'm agreeing with Zwebbie that the front legs should be longer.. Otherwise, just personal, but I'd try to push the physical aspects of a badass sabertooth-esque tiger as far as possible. With gear like that clung to its body it'd better be superbadass-looking in it's own

Hey Jonas, nice concept work so far. As Freuon mentioned, it would be much cooler if you'd push everything a little bit further, give it some gigantic teeth and overly muscled shoulders and what not, maybe one eye can be mechanical and the front paws can have metall plate claw things? hehe some ideas anyways have fun with it, I've also posted a painting by Julie Bell (very tiny one unfortunatelly) for some inspiriation maybe. And btw...

Been really busy this week sadly, lot's of overtime, hopefully ill be able to work more next week,

Zwebbie: seems like many want me to play with the lenght of the legs so well did that a bit. mm as for the other things :P the details aren't there at all, may sound weird but i think allmost everything will change, really just going for the basic shape with the concept, stupid to have that detail at all ^^; i know.

Freuon: yeah been trying the leg thing now,, will do it some more when i get my base mesh up running. and ill be sure to look in ur thread

Diwan: yeah agree with the push everything further thing, hope i can make it work,, will work on it more when the basemesh is ready, as for details, i have things planned just u wait :P.

Nice, I like the change of the back toes. It's something about the front legs that bothers me, maybe keep it organic but have those rounded joints as armor piece? Keep it up!
