Hmm i think i should do alright with 41 points i think (hope i did it right).
Timothy Jozeph Johannes van der Togt.
I'm counting both of these for now, but that is how you actually spell the last name, its not "vandenberg" or "vandertogt"? Thats how these sort of names would generally be spelled in the US I think.
Maybe silly question but what kind of names actually still count. When I was born I was baptized, and these names they give you then are quite long. Does that even count?

You'll have to be a little more specific.
I think the rule is probably: what is actually on your birth certificate.

That's because you're doing it wrong in the US :poly121: . "Van den" and "van der" both mean "of the", in (archaic) masculine and feminine form, respectively. Writing it as one word is as strange in Dutch as "Ofthemountain" as one word would be in English, and I don't think I've ever seen it spelled as such in native Dutch. "Van den" and "van der" have historically been acceptable as "vanden" and "vander", but without being attached to the noun at the end, though that's a way of spelling that, I think, died out in the 16th century.

I'll take two, with a side of guac.
51 for the president!
Me, personally, 40 I think
Willem Pieter Alexander te Hennepe.
ALso, you guys now instantly know my name better than any of my employers.
Do i win id theft?
40 indeed
39, good enough for #4 and #5 respectively, and to knock TheWinterLord's 32 score off the list entirely. Still a log jam at 34.
Let me know when she starts posting on polycount =P
Should equate to 46. In case my three part last name only counts as one, 42.
Timothy Jozeph Johannes van der Togt.
Teck Lee Tan = 16
Lloyd Sebastian Conrad-alec Lloyd-wallis
but when I was 16 I got it changed to 'lloyd'
so its gone from a 45 to a 5
(45 if we count - as 1 and double-barrelled names as a whole word which is +2, if not it could be 47)
I guess with my name now only being lloyd I go to the bottom of the list?
Oh how the mighty have fallen
I'd change it to Sir Lloyd Sebastian Conrad-Alec LLoyd-Wallis. Now that would be classy
*movie trailer voice* TRIPLE-X Lloyd! Men fear him... women adore him. Coming summer 2013.
I only get 30
Only if "junior" is part of your given name, otherwise its 27 points. I don't think "Junior" or "Senior" or "Mister" should count.

Sorry skipped over yours, you're tied for #6 now

Yep, 47 would have given you first place!
The good news is I've started a special list for shortest names now too, and you're in first place there!
If you've already submitted a short name do it again, I don't want to go back through the entire thread.

Yes, that's all on her legal identification.
6 names, 40 letters. 52 points. Do wives count?
Wives that post on polycount count, otherwise, no.
It's part of my name, it's on my documentation. Anyway... I posted just because I thought it was funny. This game won't change my life in anything.
4 names = 8
30 letters = 30
38
Hell, YES! Thanks EarthQuake!
:P
I count that as 27.. you guys suck..
