Just received an email from the AIAS.

Looks like an interesting avenue for people who have released titles, to showcase some of their art.

Now in its sixth year, Into the Pixel is the one annual opportunity for video and computer game artists to have their work critically reviewed by experts in both the digital and fine art worlds. The 2009 Into the Pixel Exhibition will premiere at the Los Angeles Convention Center in June. The framed art will be unveiled on June 2nd at the E3 Media & Business Summit in Los Angeles.

· Acceptable submissions include art from classic, current-generation, and next-generation titles. Art must be from published or soon-to-be-published video and/or computer games and must include confirmation of ship dates.

· Art may consist of in-game or concept art, including character, environmental/landscape or other artwork used in the creation of games.

· Submissions may not be art from packaging, marketing, or advertising pieces created by in-house or external agencies. Remember, this is the opportunity for game artists to submit the artwork that goes into the process of creating and building games, yet is rarely showcased to the art-loving public.
