Hi all, got a probably simple question for any of you experienced in Rigging. To be specific I'm rigging up some tank treads to a tank model, which has been exported into CryEngine2. I'm very new to rigging and tried some tutorials but can't figure our what this means. From what research I did I think this is more of a rigging specific error and not a engine only error.

In engine I get this error :

Failed to Load Character file. Skeleton-Initial-Positions are missing

Anyone know what this means?
From what I found out when you apply a Physique modifier and link it to a node, it sets the transformation, scale, etc for the bones attached to that node. I have from what I can tell a proper rig.

This is just a shot in the dark but I think its talking about the bind pose. Try making the skeleton pose on the first frame of animation the same as the pose you used to bind the mesh to the skeleton.

So if you have a 30 frame animation add another frame (0) at the beginning and make it the same as the bind pose.

I have no clue if that would actually work but quite a few engines and animation programs work that way.
