New Desktop

So I am putting together a new desktop this weekend.

• AMD Phenom 9850 2.5ghz quad core
• 9800GTX GR2 512mb ram
• 8 Gig Ram
• 1x TB hd
• 1x 300 GB hd
• Vista Ultimate 64bit

So yeah it should be quite the little beast. Got me a nice watercooled tower but I'm not dropping these pieces into it. Why, you may ask? Well because this computer is for my wife. Yep. I don't get this beast to play crysis or ut3 on. Nope she gets it for facebook, sims 2 and sims 3 when it comes out and her email.

Ahhh marriage is a wonderful thing.

Wait what? Being married is one thing, being a fool is something entirely different. There is absolutely no reason you can justifiy 8 gigs and and a quad core for browsing the web, unless you really just want to build this computer for the sake of building it. Hell get her an EEEPC if all she is going to do is browse the web!

Well I'm building this with all intentions of using it when she's not on it so in a way it's for me but I just can't use the crazy liquid cooled case because she wants it in her case because she likes the way it looks.

LOL, big mistake. Obviously I don't know your wife, but based on experience, she'll get pissed that you're using HER computer. AND if anything EVER acts up on the computer, you'll get blamed because 'YOU must have done something when using it last'.

Jesse don't listen to these guy's I built my wife a pc also with intensions of using it myself and she ended up using it for a month then going back to the laptop so now the pc is mine with no fuss. I didnt even have to work it into the budget, this is called smart money management.

Congrats on your new pc let me know when you want to throw down on some Crysis Wars, normal Crysis is bleh.
