Vista 64bit + Photoshop CS2 & Max 2009

CS2 seems to run decently, or so it seems.

Max 2009, though, I am noticing that the selection box that usually appears when you click-and-drag (like it normally should) is a bit lagged and takes awhile to appear. Quite annoying.

Anyone experience this? What might be a solution? I hear enabling Aero helps but that doing so creates new, more annoying problems.

I had issues with photoshop CS3, the cursor lagged like hell. I tryed everything, but the only solution I found was to install CS2 trial. and I mean, now even CS3 works well, maybe some dll was missing or just fucked. anyway, I never had problems with lag in max sorry I can't help there, just though I should take the chance to point this out too, maybe someone has the same issue.

I have the exact same setup and i'm about to upgrade to vista 64 from XP32 this weekend. oooo I hope everything goes well.


I'm sure this has been asked before, but what are the performance improvements between Max 32-bit and Max 64-bit when running on a 64-bit machine.
