Alternatives to Zone Alarm Free

Does anyone have any recommendations for (free) alternatives to Zone Alarm Free? There seems to be a conflict between Zone Alarm, Firefox and Vista Home which causes Firefox to hang, forcing an entire system reboot before it will restart. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi AstroZombie there are two alternatives that I know of:

Comodo

and

Online Armor
http://www.tallemu.com/free-firewall-protection-software.html

If you go with Comodo with Defense+ enabled be ready for a ton of security popups. Supposedly Online Armor is a bit more user friendly, but I haven't tried it.

I've been using comodo firewall since ZA didnt work on XP64 anymore:

You dont have to install the AV by the way.

jie comodo fw is one of the best free firewalls. a lot better than za imo

if you see and incoming attack, fuckin' shrouken it to the face, thats what I do.

I have avast working on my 64vista, no problems so far.

router + windows firewall + windows defender works fine. Just keep them updated.

ZoneAlarm when down the tubes for me, got super slow and didn't detect squat. AVG and SuperAntiSpyware have been great, XP though.
