acting was awful and I hated the stuttery camera but outside of that it was ace. really makes me want to see a HL movie almost.

Yeah, quite awesome. Acting was bad, obviously, but was very well put together. lots of little bits were less than perfect, but as a whole it was really great and captured the HL2 world perfectly.

That was neat - but probably only for people who have played the series. I can envision people cheering at the "crowbar beatdown" scene. But it probably has zero entertainment value for everyone else.

Wow, reminds me a lot of the short live action Halo 3 promo vids, in terms of capturing the game's atmosphere perfectly. Created on only $500!? Realllly? I would think the prop guns alone would cost nearly that much....must've been a lot of donations...

Too bad it seems like once a game franchise hits hollywood its turned to crap, seems like these well done fan films capture what the games are all about so much better!

...and it gets me REALLY stoked for Episode 3!!!

because good film makers dont play games? they always seam to end up very "marketing engineeered" and thats cos the reason they are made is marketing forces and not cos a good film maker wants to

A few distracting problems with the way they composited the combine heads, and using the game's blood sprites was a weird decision, but loved it overall
