ya that image is from a must have graphic novel called Hard Boiled, its pretty famous - a long time ago when his detail was blowing my infinitely pubescent brain I saw an image of the actual size he works in... its insane...Search out and see if you can find a shot (although I could not right now) of the actual size of one of his drawings, its gigantor huge, he then shrinks it down to the comic size... Genius!

Hard boiled is drawn by Geof Darrow and written by Frank Miller (what a combination). I've had it since it first came out and it's still mind-blowing.

Seen any of the Akira mangas? I haven't checked the wikis, but I suspect Darrow was influenced by Otomo's style.
