nice work tycho VII! I think you did a great job with this prop. Heres a few pointers..
I like the design and texture work a lot, but some scratch details seem to be placed too evenly across the surface. Make the damage less random by leaving areas like flat surfaces a bit cleaner and areas like edge, around nails more damaged.
Try playing with the colors a bit, everything seem evenly saturated.
Ah that's a good idea. I just kind of went crazy with the scratches because they're fun to make. I'll definitely keep that in mind for the next piece. Thanks for the help
cool first props. I agree about the dirt and scratches, plus have you tought of maybe putting some tubing/cables "underneath" the floor(in the black holes)? Think that would be cool.

Thanks Belltann. I was considering putting a single fat pipe underneath it. Unfortunately school has me busy up the wazoo and I ran out of time. I'll be adding to it when I can though.
A character I recently "Finished". I only say he's finished because I don't have time to make any changes to him. I know there's plenty wrong with him. Critiques are still appreciated though!

I'll probably be saving that tutorial for next quarter when I actually have time to make the good stuff look better than good I hope.
Live and learn I say!
