I always thought they would move into Ontario (Toronto) but yuh.. Vancouver is probably a smarter move, and Action Pants... coooooll, that studio has always interested me

Are you going to the presentations? I'm volunteering at GDX this weekend, not sure if it's worth it to watch some of them twice... no one seems to know if these are the same presentations just being done for the students prior to them being presented to the attendees on Saturday.

They opened up a bunch of positions too, I think it was to try to sweep up a bunch of the Blackbox guys.

Ya on 3l337 recruiting there is 200 ubisoft jobs listed apparently... They just have major divisions listed rather than actual jobs...

For those job openings, apparently animators are the biggest in demand. Might just consider it.

is this character animation Pliang? or environment animators? I would love to work with Ubisoft. Damn I have no animation stuff. And to think thats how I got into all this... from what ive seen animation is always most in demand for the last year. ah well, i like doing environment sculpts more so whatevs.

Ubisoft need to open a London studio already. Jesus, it feels like game development over here is just for Wii and handheld titles.

It's a presentation at BCIT. I think it's more along a recruitment type presentation today. Nothing like siggraph deals.
