Photoshop Refresh - ATI 9.1?

I just rebuilt my system with a ATI 3850 agp. Photoshop isnt refreshing the pointer correctly, In that the screen shows gibberish and such when using the brush or erase tools where it interacts with the screen. I have to scoll the section off screen and bring back to see results correctly after doing this.

Has anyone experienced something like this before? Im looking and trying different things I find on google, but no luck so far.

This is PS CS2 9.1

Edit: And its only Photoshop. Image ready does not have this issue.

LOL AGP. jk. i know people who still use PCI....not express.

i had a similar problem. it wouldnt refresh what i was doing.

for example, i would hit undo a few times and nothing would happen, until i then did another action (like paint a line or w/e) then it would show me all those undos. i have cs2 as well but i have an nvidia 8800 card.

What was your solution 00Zero? I have a few things to try, but need to wait for a render to finish to reboot to see if worked.

Hmm its definitely something with the card or drivers. I turn off hardware acceleration and it works fine.

Yea, the 9.1s are doing something. Went to last release via DNA modded version and it works fine. Hopefully this thread will help someone else on the web via google.

The same thing happens here, on nVidia PCI-E cards.

If you pan around the image, it'll show you the updates, but it's still a right pain in the arse. I've not found a way to fix it yet, but sometimes it just clears up by itself.

Haven't had a problem with PS, but lightroom will not display any images at for me on my 3850. Still haven't got a driver that works with it after months of support from adobe. Looking into getting an Nvidia card now and shoving the ati in an old machine. :poly118:

bump the thread up.It was the silliest incident that brought Nannette into my life.buy wow gold, I had been in my local supermarket and spent more than I should.
