I'll only go see it if:
Labeouf gets more screen time then all the transformers put together. With an actor that has such theatrical reach, you have to leverage his full potential!
Labeouf gets pinned to the ground at least 3 more times and then manages to scramble out of the way when something distracts whatever Decepticon is about to make a skid mark out of him (que above look).
More slow-mo.
More baysplosions.
More slow-mo baysplosions.
More product placement, like the 360 that comes to life. Only this time it should ROD after a few seconds.
Oh and more authority figures being leaked on...
Not a fan of the first transformers movie, but that's only cause I was hoping for something else. Not sure how to feel about the second one yet. Probably be a dvd rental for me.
And if there's not a "...And knowing is half the battle!" at the end of the Joe movie credits, someone needs to be shot.

They should throw this in while there at it... Just kidding. But really... it would be hilarious if half way through the movie they played this...

I hope these are the movies that can finally give me the answers I seek about life.
Give me hope, inspiration and Direction.
If they don't then they will suck.
I don't like the trend in these huge budget, action adventure, made-for-PG types where the directors are practically looking for excuses to add CGI/action into the mix.
indy 4, transformers, van helsing, The Mummy movies...Pearl Harbor
I just don't get much out of it

Honestly, I just want a movie that won't make me squirm in my seat and feel embarrased about my generation.

There's a difference between CGI action shots in Indy 4 and Transformers. CGI humans are usually bad.
Quite frankly, I wish the whole movie was just a 2 hour long fight scene of robots beating the shit out of each other. Why the hell would I not love that?
I don't need Oscar award winning writing to enjoy myself for 2 hours.
It's like going to the Superbowl and complaining there wasn't enough character development. Both properties were not great pieces of fiction to begin with. They' were just toy commercials.
Can you have both great story and great action? Yes. Does it need it? No, and last years box office numbers proved it.
I'm with skankerzero on this. I liked the first Transformers. It is what it is. I don't care about the love story, awkward kid. I just saw bad ass huge robots transforming and fighting. Shit blowing up. Whatever.
It was worth the money I spent in theaters and on the blu ray disk. I'll see both Joe and TF2 for sure.
The GI Joe trailer is garbage. But I'm still looking forward to the movie. I hate CGI humans, look at the difference between the Matrix 1 and 2-3. The fight scene's in 1 were all wires. But when Neo rips a metal pole out of the ground and beats up 1000 smiths it's almost 100% CGI. It looks too fake. Same with the 'ninja/cobra' guy jumping over a car in the GI Joe trailer. Looks cool in theory but so obviously CGed in practice.
As for the Transformers trailer it's still available on youtube (just not that link), but you get rick-rolled about 10 times before you'll find a legit one hahaha.
Apple has both superbowl tv spots up on their trailers site in HD.
i think they both look dumb and probably won't be seeing them. haven't even watched the first Transformers movie yet.
that's unfortunate because ILM did some fantastic work with the art in the film.
The transformations from robot to alt mode are so seemless and really a testament to modeling and rigging.
skanker, while it's pretty amazing work, I HATED the robots in the first movie, precisely because they were overcomplicated. They were hard to read, and I found myself looking away sometimes because I couldn't tell wtf I was looking at. Admittedly, it was cool, but the old school transformers were great because of how simple they were. Even in robot form, you could easily identify one from another, and easily tell what each one transformed into. "that one's a tank, that's a plane, that's a semi truck." They lost that in the movie. They made it so intricate and complex that you couldn't tell what anything was supposed to be anymore.

2 movies based on childhood toys.. oof.

And that bitey guy. I wonder if that's the movie's take on Ravage. Which would also likely mean Soundwave. We likes Soundwave.
Oh wait, were we supposed to be cynical about this?
GI Joe looks like it could be a lot of fun.
I read somewhere, right after the first movie, that soundwave would indeed be in the sequel. I hope its true, Soundwave is awesome!
I'm waiting for Stretcharmstrong the Movie 2011.
Then you should go watch Transformers again and adjust your hopes downwards, perhaps 3 Edwardian Units also known as E.U.'s or Boilers.
ha!

1080p download for GI Joe Trailer - http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=52443
I fail to see how this is a bad thing.
Question - think the 2 metal dudes in the GI Joe trailer seen a couple of times are the Cobra twins Tomax and Xamot?
yay!
congrats you hit 1,000 posts! (I saw that while writing this reply :P)
Ummm I'm going to have to disagree. Any movie with Megan Fox in it will draw my attention. mhm... I said it. haha.
transformers does look pretty rad - definitely down for some awesome mechybits exploding and having techno orgasms everywhere.
GIjoe... mehhhh, think that'll fall into the "inspector gadget" movie department

I think for the most part we all are big children if where in a industry like this, haha
Give me hope, inspiration and Direction.

I hope you're 100% right with that assumption.
Why do you say that?

has any one seen the new pixar film trailer? http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/up/
Honestly, I just want a movie that won't make me squirm in my seat and feel embarrased about my generation.
I'm with moose, these trailers look like they could be from the same damn dull action movie.
Frank the Avenger
perhaps you didn't see the CG ninja flipping over a car in slow motion

I saw one of their early test shots with a more G1 style robot and it just didn't look good to me. It just looked like a big toy to me.
I personally like the direction they went with, but I wish that at least their inner structure had color to separate the parts of their bodies better.
