I just wanted to say, to you and the team, to keep doing great work like this. Moon on DS and The Ward... They are so detailed but so damn smooth, really well done. The best engine work on the DS, I honestly think you fcould of helped the Metroid team out.
Something though that I noticed in the screenshots, Videos and now in your Artwork is the use of Black as a gradient towards dark. Because of that the Astronaut looks tinted in grey. I am not sure if I can explain it well
the first line showing a becomming darker brown is not just a tint using white (for lighter) or just black for darker but it varies in color and catches for example somewhat yellow torwads lighter and red towards darker. But colors within darker areas can also tell something about the material itself for example if it reflects or how it absorbs material/colors.
renderhjs: I think I know what you mean. I know this was covered in my color theory classes and in painting classes as well, but somehow it got lost while I was working on the textures. I'll definitely keep it in mind this time around on the new proj.
