Isolate selection box position

EVERY time I use Isolate selection in 3ds max, the exit selection mode box appears right bang in the middle of my viewport, thus requiring me to expend 1 vital second of my short life to shift it to the side, get mildly miffed and sweaty about it and then spend another few seconds creating a thread to ask whether by some script or trick I can set it up so that whenever I use isolate selection the exit mode box appears where I last placed it/off to the side.

Tantrum over, awaiting wisdom/sarcastic wit...

That's pretty odd. My Isolate seems to work just fine. (Stays in the correct spot)

Which version of Max are you using?

Mine stays in the correct spot in Max 2009, as well. i think it resets to the middle on a fresh start of Max, but it remembers it for the session.

im using 2009 too and my box stays wherever I put it last, just like the rest of the UI

Mine resets everytime to the middle for some strange reason seems i'll have to live with it thx anyway.

i currently use this script which removes that crappy button and just makes you toggle isolate selection with the shortcut, no buttons included
