Heya,
I'm trying to remember a series of books I read when I was young (Kindergarten to grade 2? 3 possibly?).
They were completely black & white, illustrated, and contained short-stories and poems.
I think one was called the Edge of the world, or something like that. I remember the cover had someone teetering on the edge of a cliff, almost falling.
And, as far as I know, there were a series of these books. Sorry for the vague description, its all I can muster
Anyone know what I am thinking of?

Wait until the end.
I don't remember who gave me those books but I remember thinking, "woa this is like a serious book! I r growed up now..." Then opening the books and finding like 2 words on each page and being totally disappointed. Then I read em and all that melted away.
Awesome stuff, I'm going to dig those out when I get home...
we can't be friends anymore.

ditto, plz.
This time I remember the book being rather large in print. Every page is full-colour illustrations and it was, I think, about a tea-party with animals. There was a kid who was hidden in each page and I believe there was another underlying mystery to the entire book.
Sound familiar?
The details on the book that I am trying to remember, in a nutshell:
Just a guess though
