moving to Portland, Oregon area!

I am moving to the Portland, Oregon area to work for better work and a better life.
Is there anyone in the area that could possibly give me a place to stay until I find permanent residence?
I am a good cook and I can do laundry and help with other things of consequence. I am looking to hired at one of the many call-centers in the area.
Ultimately I want to live in the Beaverton area, but with the Maxline, its not really necessary. You know?
If nothing else, I look forward to meeting up with any area polycounters when do I do move.
